Background: Islet angiogenesis is needed for embryonic β-cell differentiation and INGAP-PP administration increases Beta-cell mass and function in rats. Aim: To determine the role of islet angiogenesis in the mechanism by which INGAP-PP enhances β-cell mass and function.
