O objetivo é identificar como a comunidade científica tem tratado a existência de interface entre as duas áreas no que se refere à presença de elementos da gestao da informaçao, preconizada pela ciência da informaçao, em relaçao às atividades específicas da gestao documental. Como procedimento metodológico, foi um levantamento de bibliografia produzida ao longo das últimas duas décadas (1997-2017) por pesquisadores brasileiros sobre o tema gestao documental visando identificar, dentre os trabalhos elencados, quantos tratam o tema da gestao da informaçao, central ou subsidiariamente, e de que forma esses temas sao tratados.
