Deinonychosauria is a group of coelurosaurian theropod dinosaurs, with a pedal digit II withcapacity for hiperextension. Records are mainly from North Hemisphere, but also exist recordsfrom South Hemisphere. In the Cretaceous of Argentina were found Buitreraptor gonzalezorum, Unenlagia comahuensis, Unenlagia paynemili, Neuquenraptor argentinus, Austroraptor cabazaiand Pamparaptor micros; already described, generally in preliminary form. They are clusteredmainly in a subfamily of dromaeosaurids, included in Deinonychosauria: Unenlagiinae. Somestudies also propose the possible synonymy between Unenlagia and Neuquenraptor. In this PhDwork, the taxa were described and compared in detail, including unpublished materials of B.gonzalezorum. The bones of B. gonzalezorum show numerous traces morphologically diverse, which were analyzed arriving to the conclusion that they were the result of scavenging and thatthe corpse had a subaerial exposure. The more probable producers considered are mammals, crocodyliforms, and insects. A phylogenetic analysis was performed, in order to corroborate themonophyly of the group and its inclusion in Deinonychosauria, as well as solve the U.paynemilitaxonomic identity, the synonymy between Neuquenraptor and Unenlagia, and to ascertain that P. micros is a deinonychosaur. It was used a published matrix, with some modifications. Unenlagiinae was recovered in the analysis and included within Dromaeosauridae. U.comahuensis and U. paynemili can be morphologically differentiated even though notcladistically. There are anatomical differences between Unenlagia and Neuquenraptor andcladistic results are different if Neuquenraptor is excluded from the analysis, considering it as avalid taxon. On the other hand, it was proved cladistically that P. micros is a deinonychosaur. Fil: Gianechini, Federico Abel. Universidad de Buenos Aires.
