The classical-statistical limit of quantum mechanics
The classical-statistical limit of quantum mechanics is studied. It is proved that the limit ℏ→0 coincides with that limit for the operator algebra, but it is not so for the state convex set. In the last case decoherence must be invoked to obtain the classical-statistical limit. © 2003 Elsevier B.V....
