4‐|2‐(Dimethylamino)ethyl‐2‐14C| phenol (hordenine‐α‐14C) has been synthesised in three steps from |14C|potassium cyanide and p‐benzyloxybenzyl chloride which in turn was obtained in four steps from p‐hydroxybenzoic acid. Copyright © 1981 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
