The water activity of common liquid bacteriological media

The water activities (aw) of 27 (21 different) bacteriological media were determined. It was found that aw values of most media were above the range reported in the literature as optimal for rates of growth of many bacteria. Copyright © 1982, Wiley Blackwell. All rights reserved
