Structure and functioning of large river floodplains of neotropical America: the Parana-Paraguay system
The Parana-Paraguay river system shows different types of this fluvial formulations (fringe floodplains, delta floodplains and the internal delta), each one exposing distinctive geological and geomorphological characteristics and influence of the river bioproductivity. Since the fringe floodplain of...

It is concluded that all programs dealing with river regulations which may affect these floodplains should be based on a deep knowledge of the river systems, in order to avoid irreversible damage to their most important limnological characteristics, mainly those affecting water bioproductivity. -from Author 1993 https://bibliotecadigital.exactas.uba.ar/collection/paper/document/paper_NIS19212_v_n_p123_Bonetto http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12110/paper_NIS19212_v_n_p123_Bonetto |
