This work reports the experimental set up and preliminary runs of an optical device to measure the translational diffusion coefficient of aqueous Systems containing sucrose and trehalose in its liquid, supercooled and glassy regime, using the 'Fuorescence Recovery After Photobleaching' technique. The assessment of this and other transport properties in these particular systems are of great importance to determine their utility as bio-protector agents.
