Two high zearalenone producing isolates of F. equiseti and F. semitectum produced on rice 2.050 and 1.370 μg of zearalenone per g of substrate, respectively. When these strains were inoculated on soybeans detectable amounts of zearalenone were not produced although the fungi grew vigorously.
