It is our aim to prove whether these differences respond to their condition of migrants or whether these differences exist with the same intensity within the non-migrant population. In order to achieve our aim, women and men of both universes will be compared throughout the study. It has been proved that the female participation in the labour market is strongly associated not only to its social and demographic characteristics, but also to the stages in their reproductive cycle and to the survival strategies of the families to which they belong. In order to illustrate it a set of selected variables are analysed. The progress made in this research suggests the existence of notorious migration inequality regarding the quality of occupational insertion of the labour force in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires and such difference becomes even more pronounced among the female from neighbouring countries. 2003 https://bibliotecadigital.exactas.uba.ar/collection/paper/document/paper_0046001X_v43_n170_p265_Cacopardo http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12110/paper_0046001X_v43_n170_p265_Cacopardo
