description Since the period of Nilda Garré like minister of Security is possible notice a change in the role of the intermediate forces in Argentina, specially in Gendarmerie and Naval Prefecture. This forces started to work in different functions in the territory of Buenos Aires, and they displaced the police of that functions. The present article is a first advance of the project of research “The new role of the intermediate forces in AMBA”, that is part of the group of research of Political Science (GICP) of Buenos Aires University. The goal in this work is evaluate the academic training that Gendarmerie and Prefecture have for work in the neigborhoods, analyse how this new function affect inside the forces and for the citizens, and try to elucidate in which measure, moreover of prevent the insecure, the forces are aimed to eliminate the complex crime.
