Sumario:This study examines the case of low-income neighborhoods in the city of Bahía Blanca, focusing on the availability of green spaces. The current state of informal occupation in these neighborhoods was mapped using QGIS software in conjunction with data from the National Registry of Informal Settlements (RENABAP) and Google Earth imagery. Additionally, the existence, accessibility, and availability of green spaces were analyzed, identifying vacant areas that could be incorporated as public green spaces in future land regularization plans. The findings reveal that, although some neighborhoods lack green spaces, there is potential to adapt, transform, and enhance available open spaces for public use.
