Our analysis privileges three axes: a. translations, where we highlight the novelty of the poets introduced to the country and question whether the catalogue sheds light on the poetic conception underpinning the project; b. the national poets, where we find a desire to promote new poets together with renowned authors, and we try to think about the location of the label within the “poetic ecosystem” of the 60’s; and c. Carmina as a “cultural group”, where, based on the numerous collaborations within the collection’s volumes –as well as dedications, acknowledgments, and recollections– we attempt an initial reconstruction of the group centered around Sofía Maffei. En este trabajo me propongo una primera aproximación a la colección de poesía Carmina, creada por Sofía Maffei en la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, que publicó cuarenta volúmenes de circulación muy restringida (amigos y suscriptores) entre 1956 y 1988. Se privilegian tres ejes de análisis: a) las traducciones, donde enfatizo la novedad de los poetas introducidos en el país, al tiempo que me pregunto si el catálogo ofrece pistas sobre la concepción poética que sustenta el proyecto; b) los poetas nacionales, donde encuentro una voluntad de promoción de poetas noveles junto con autores de trayectoria, e intento pensar la ubicación del sello al interior del “ecosistema poético” de los 60; y c) Carmina como “grupo cultural”, donde, a partir de las múltiples colaboraciones en los volúmenes de la colección, junto con las dedicatorias, agradecimientos, recuerdos, realizo una incipiente reconstrucción del grupo nucleado en torno a Sofía Maffei.
