Different analyses were done using the transport smart card SUBE database, which showed a strong reduction in the number of validations with a standard fare during the post-pandemic, endangering the sustainability of the service. The present study contributes to the general understanding of this problem, providing detailed information and new lines of investigation aimed at assisting the local government with recommendations regarding the implementation of measures leading to finding a solution to the current crisis in public transport. La pandemia de COVID-19 marcó un antes y un después en la movilidad urbana, pero los efectos han sido mucho más profundos en las ciudades intermedias donde el sistema de transporte público no estaba lo suficientemente consolidado para responder a una crisis de salud pública, como el caso de la ciudad de Santa Fe, y al que se le unió posteriormente un contexto de elevada inflación. Mediante la utilización de datos provenientes de la tarjeta de transporte SUBE, se realizaron análisis en la red de autobuses que demostraron la fuerte reducción en el número de validaciones con tarifa plana durante la postpandemia, peligrando la sustentabilidad del servicio.
