To achieve this, several key topics will be explored. First, the transformations in the National Educational Public Administration will be examined, highlighting the significant changes that have taken place in this field. Next, the modifications in public management models will be analyzed, identifying new practices and approaches that have emerged in the management of education. Additionally, a detailed analysis of the Central Administration of Education in the recent past will be conducted, with a focus on the profile of education administrators. This will explore how these profiles have evolved over time and the predominant characteristics today. Finally, the problems and tensions related to the recent profiles of educational administrators will be addressed, identifying critical issues that affect their performance and the overall effectiveness of educational administration. El objetivo principal de este trabajo es analizar las transformaciones de la administración educativa desde una perspectiva histórica, revisando los modelos de gestión pública y las configuraciones más recientes, considerando los roles, funciones y perfiles profesionales de los administradores. Para abordar este objetivo, se estudiarán varios aspectos claves. Primero, se explorarán las transformaciones en la Administración Educativa, destacando los cambios significativos que han ocurrido en este ámbito. Luego, se examinarán las modificaciones en los modelos de gestión pública, identificando las nuevas prácticas y enfoques que han emergido en la gestión de la educación. Además, se hará un análisis de la Administración Central de la Educación en el pasado reciente, enfocándose en el perfil de los administradores de la educación. Se estudian cómo estos perfiles han evolucionado con el tiempo y cuáles son las características predominantes. Finalmente, se abordarán los problemas y tensiones que surgen con relación a los perfiles actuales de los administradores de la educación, identificando algunas cuestiones críticas que afectan su desempeño y la eficacia de la administración educativa en general.
