Green infrastructure is one of the nature-based solutions that contribute to mitigating it. The aim of this work is to analyze the influence of trees in the squares on the summer temperatures in the town of Punta Alta (Argentina).For this, the percentage of vegetation cover was obtained using the i-Tree Canopy software and a tree census was carried out. In addition, air temperature and relative humidity were measured at four sampling points in the squares, during the summer at 3:00 p.m. Finally, the vegetation comfort index was applied to twelve trees in the squares. It was concluded that all the trees contribute to mitigate summer temperatures, mainly the evergreen ones, and to improve the thermal comfort for the inhabitants. Uno de los problemas que enfrentan las ciudades es la isla de calor, fenómeno que genera disconfort térmico en la población. La infraestructura verde es una de las soluciones de base natural que contribuyen a mitigarla. El objetivo del trabajo es analizar la influencia del arbolado de las plazas sobre las temperaturas estivales de la localidad de Punta Alta (Argentina). Para ello, se obtuvo el porcentaje de cobertura vegetal mediante el software i-Tree Canopy y se realizó un censo del arbolado. Además se midió la temperatura del aire y la humedad relativa en cuatro puntos de muestreo de las plazas, durante el verano a las 15 horas. Finalmente, se aplicó el índice de confort de la vegetación en doce árboles de las plazas. Se concluyó que todos los árboles contribuyen a mitigar las temperaturas estivales, principalmente las perennifolias, y a mejorar el confort térmico de los habitantes. Um dos problemas que as cidades enfrentam é a ilha de calor, fenômeno que gera desconforto térmico na população. A infraestrutura verde é uma das soluções de base natural que contribui para mitigá-la. O objetivo do trabalho é analisar a influência da arborização das praças sobre as temperaturas estimadas da localidade de Punta Alta (Argentina). Para isso, obteve-se o percentual de cobertura vegetal por meio do software i-Tree Canopy e realizou-se um censo das árvores. Além disso, a temperatura do ar e a umidade relativa do ar foram medidas em quatro pontos de amostragem nas praças, durante o verão às 15 horas. Por fim, o índice de conforto da vegetação foi aplicado a doze árvores das praças. Concluiu-se que todas as árvores contribuem para atenuar as temperaturas de verão, principalmente as perenes, e para melhorar o conforto térmico dos habitantes. Universidad Nacional del Nordeste.
