A zoning is proposed from which the basic energy indicators and two main conditions for the installation of wind farms are comparatively analyzed: the geographical distribution of the wind resource and the electrical transportation networks. The methodology combines descriptive statistics techniques and cartographic techniques. The results show that, with some differences between areas that allow us to recognize a hierarchical order and particularities of insertion in the electrical system, the territorial configuration of wind generation reflects a notable general performance within the framework of a centripetal growth model, but that, in the last two years, it faces geoeconomic barriers that limit its expansion, both in the group of wind concentration zones established and in the valorization of areas of the country with the presence of higher quality winds (centrifugal growth). El artículo describe la configuración territorial de la generación eólica de alta potencia en Argentina, resultante del proceso de desarrollo sectorial del período 2011-2023. Se propone una zonificación a partir de la cual son analizados comparativamente indicadores energéticos básicos y dos condiciones principales para la instalación de parques eólicos: la distribución geográfica del recurso eólico y las redes de transporte eléctrico. La metodología combina técnicas de estadística descriptiva y técnicas cartográficas. Los resultados demuestran que, con algunas diferencias entre zonas que permiten reconocer un orden jerárquico y particularidades de inserción en el sistema eléctrico, la configuración territorial de la generación eólica refleja un notable desempeño general en el marco de un modelo de crecimiento centrípeto, pero que, en los últimos dos años, enfrenta barreras geoeconómicas que limitan su expansión, tanto en el grupo de zonas de concentración eólica constituidas como en la valorización de zonas del país con presencia de vientos de mayor calidad (crecimiento centrífugo).
