It recovers the conceptual contributions of authors who problematize the implications of the current phase of capitalism and its consequences in the field of labor relations, as well as the modes of labor organization imposed by neoliberalism as a regime and the role of the State in protecting acquired labor rights. The objectives of the research are as follows: to describe the conditions of precariousness of print journalism in the province of Corrientes and to reflect on the interference of the State in the guarantee of labor rights. To achieve these objectives, the following research techniques were used: analysis of the legislation that regulates labor activity, observations of participants in internal assemblies of the Board of Directors of the Asociación de Periodistas de Corrientes (APC) and analysis of the press releases that systematize the main problems of the sector. The conclusions state that, despite the central role that journalism plays in strengthening democracy in society, the State has not managed to propose effective strategies for the protection of the sector’s labor rights. Keywords Outsourced markets, labor precariousness, transnational financial capitalism En el presente artículo se analizan las condiciones laborales del periodismo gráfico en la provincia de Corrientes (Argentina) entre 2008 y 2020. Se recuperan los aportes conceptuales de autores que problematizan las implicancias de la fase actual del capitalismo y sus consecuencias en el ámbito de las relaciones laborales, así como también los modos de organización del trabajo que el neoliberalismo como régimen impone y el rol que asumen los Estados para proteger derechos laborales adquiridos. Se proponen como objetivos de la investigación: describir las condiciones de precarización del periodismo gráfico en la provincia de Corrientes y reflexionar sobre la injerencia del Estado en la garantía de los derechos laborales. Para alcanzar estos objetivos se emplean las siguientes técnicas de investigación: el análisis de la legislación que regula la actividad laboral, observaciones participantes en asambleas internas de la Comisión Directiva de la Asociación de Periodistas de Corrientes (APC) y el análisis de los comunicados que sistematizan las principales problemáticas del sector. En las conclusiones se afirma que, pese al rol central que el periodismo tiene para el fortalecimiento democrático en la sociedad, el Estado no ha logrado plantear estrategias efectivas para la protección de los derechos laborales del sector.
