Sumario:On May 27, 2018, an act was held in Plaza Belgrano from Luján with the aim of inaugurating a memorial to commemorate the use, for the first time, of the white scarf by the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo in the pilgrimage to walk to Luján, in October 1977. The article seeks to investigate and interpret that memorial to the handkerchief of the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo as a spatial symbolic form that bursts into the public space of the city and challenges the everyday environment, and from there project on the relationship between space, memory and religiosity. Methodologically, we propose a qualitative approach located in the spatial gaze that allows us to detect the material forms of the landscape and the set of immaterialities present in order to know and understand how the public space of the city is created, organized, appropriated and regulated.
