The article seeks to investigate and interpret that memorial to the handkerchief of the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo as a spatial symbolic form that bursts into the public space of the city and challenges the everyday environment, and from there project on the relationship between space, memory and religiosity. Methodologically, we propose a qualitative approach located in the spatial gaze that allows us to detect the material forms of the landscape and the set of immaterialities present in order to know and understand how the public space of the city is created, organized, appropriated and regulated. El 27 de mayo de 2018 se llevó a cabo un acto en la plaza Belgrano de Luján con el objetivo de inaugurar una escultura para conmemorar el uso por primera vez, del pañuelo blanco por parte de las Madres de Plaza de Mayo en la peregrinación juvenil a pie a Luján de octubre de 1977.El artículo busca indagar e interpretar ese memorial al pañuelo de las Madres de Plaza de Mayo como forma simbólica espacial que irrumpe en el espacio público de la ciudad e interpela el ámbito cotidiano, y desde allí reflexionar en la relación entre espacio, memoria y religiosidad.Metodológicamente, proponemos un abordaje cualitativo y situado en la mirada espacial que permita detectar las formas materiales del paisaje y el conjunto de inmaterialidades presentes, para conocer y comprender cómo se gesta, se organiza, se apropia y se regula el espacio público de la ciudad.
