Chloroform was the prevailing compound with very small amounts of the more highly brominated analogues present. For Bell Ville town the chloroform average was 102.6 ug/l and 100.3ugll for San Marcos town. In agreement with these results an alternative technology is suggested to diminish the chlorine amount in water used for human consumption.
