Sumario:"Due to Argentina's favorable macro-economic landscape and its great wealth of natural resources, a strong growth in hydrocarbon activity in the country is expected in the medium term, particularly in oil and gas exploration and production. Both the operators and the companies that provide them with well services require housing for the workers who have to reside in the vicinity of the wells. This paper examines the engineering aspects for the assembly line production method of said houses. The aspects of product design, the production process, the necessary equipment, the location of the production facilities and the requirements of both raw material and direct labor are analyzed. The aforementioned engineering study is framed within a market assessment. This analysis examines the macroeconomic situation, the geographical distribution of resources and the needs of potential buyers. The study concludes that with a primary production line containing two teams for both electrical installations and sanitary facilities, it is possible to produce a housing-container every 5 hours with an average utilization of the production facilities of 78%."
