In this paper, we present a genre study through the prism of Corpus Linguistics, specifically through the analysis of a corpus of journalistic opinion articles, authored by the writer Alejandro Borensztein, published in the Sunday column entitled Humor Político, in the Argentine newspaper Clarín. Our aims are to identify, analyse, and describe lexicogrammatical elements that point to the establishment of political humor as a genre, from an empirical-exploratory analysis of the corpus of study, by means of tools, techniques, and resources characteristic of research in written textual corpora. We resorted to the theoretical basis of Systemic-Functional Linguistics, regarding language as social semiotics (Halliday 1978) and the specific semiotic functions of the text, with social value in culture, in other words, the genres in relation to life in society. Based on keyword extraction and concordance lines analysis, we observe contextualized occurrences. The results point to different lexicogrammatical choices, confirming the persuasive social role of the discourses that emerge from the corpus, in which a critical point of view of the political-economic situation is carried out. |

Presentamos en este artículo un estudio de género desde la perspectiva de la lingüística de corpus, concretamente mediante el análisis de un corpus de artículos periodísticos de opinión, escritos por el escritor Alejandro Borensztein y publicados en la columna dominical titulada Humor Político, del periódico argentino Clarín. Nuestros objetivos son identificar, analizar y describir elementos lexicogramaticales que apunten al establecimiento del humor político como género, a partir de un análisis empírico-exploratorio del corpus de estudio, mediante herramientas, técnicas y recursos característicos de la investigación en corpus textuales escritos. Recurrimos a la base teórica de la Lingüística Sistémico-Funcional, en lo que se refiere al lenguaje como semiótica social (Halliday 1978) y a las funciones semióticas específicas del texto, con valor social en la cultura; es decir, los géneros en relación con la vida en sociedad. Partiendo de la extracción de palabras clave y del análisis de líneas de concordancia, observamos las ocurrencias contextualizadas. Los resultados apuntan a diferentes elecciones lexicogramaticales, que confirman el cumplimiento de un papel social persuasivo de los discursos que emergen del corpus, en el que se plantea un punto de vista crítico de la situación político-económica. No presente trabalho, apresentamos um estudo de gênero pelo prisma da Linguística de Corpus, especificamente por meio da análise de um corpus de artigos jornalísticos de opinião, de autoria do escritor Alejandro Borensztein, publicados na coluna dominical intitulada Humor Político, do jornal argentino Clarín. Nossos objetivos são identificar, analisar e descrever elementos lexicogramaticais que apontem para o estabelecimento do humor político enquanto gênero, a partir de uma análise empírico-exploratória do corpus de estudo, por meio de ferramentas, técnicas e recursos característicos da pesquisa em corpora textuais escritos. Recorremos à base teórica da Linguística Sistêmico-Funcional, no tangente à linguagem como semiótica social (Halliday 1978) e às funções semióticas específicas do texto, com valor social na cultura; isto é, os gêneros em relação à vida em sociedade. Partindo da extração de palavras-chave e da análise de linhas de concordância, observamos as ocorrências contextualizadas. Os resultados apontam para diferentes escolhas lexicogramaticais, as quais confirmam o cumprimento de um papel social persuasório dos discursos que emergem do corpus, em que um ponto de vista crítico da situação político-econômica é trazido à baila.
