Sumario:The analysis of a Round of News didactic situation is presented, tested within the framework of a broader cooperative research whose objective is to build teaching sequences that promote critical reading of news from a joint activity between teachers and researchers. This is the first situation that is part of a sequence in which students are subsequently proposed to carefully compare two news published the same day in different digital newspapers. A descriptive-interpretive qualitative and exploratory research was developed in which a didactic approach that promotes the problematization-conceptualization dialectic was adopted from a situated constructivist perspective, didactic conditions and teachers interventions generated in the Round of News made it possible to problematize the students social practices and ideas built in their interaction with the media ecosystem and to move towards a progressive conceptualization of the productive process of the news, made invisible by the information companies. The students began to conceive the news as a look at reality carried out in close relationship with the audiences and to distinguish between the media that produce the information and the platforms that circulate it.
