Partiendo de tres ejes de discusión en torno a la institución de los mitimaes en épocas del Tawantinsuyu, intentaremos reflexionar, de una manera general, acerca de las políticas instauradas por el Inca y su forma de implementarlas. Los ejes propuestos servirán entonces, como herramientas heurísticas que nos permitan organizar y revisar , no solo un tema como la movilización masiva de gente en épocas del Inca, sino también cuestiones relativas al poder estatal, cuya característica principal parece haber sido la flexibilidad.  Sección Etnohistoria, Instituto de Ciencias Antropológicas.
