This reading will be done, essentially, based on the study of some texts that were published in military magazines of the time under consideration and in some works also published in that period. Analogously, some manuals existing in the Library of the Military Academy of Portugal will be used. A part of the text will deal with guerrilla warfare and another with revolutionary war, in both, speaking of the authors who wrote about these forms of strategy, highlighting the most relevant themes and the most acute problems. Este artículo busca entender la comprensión que el pensamiento estratégico portugués desarrolló en la década y media entre el final de la Segunda Guerra Mundial y el comienzo de la guerra en África, respecto a la guerra irregular o subversiva. Esta lectura se hará, fundamentalmente, a partir del estudio de algunos textos que fueron publicados en revistas militares y algunas obras de la época. También se utilizarán algunos cuadernos existentes en la biblioteca de la Academia Militar de Portugal. Una parte del texto versará sobre la guerra de guerrillas y otra sobre la guerra revolucionaria, hablando de los autores que escribieron sobre estas formas de estrategia, destacando los temas más relevantes y los problemas más agudos. Este artigo procurar apreender o entendimento que o pensamento estratégico português desenvolveu, na década e meia entre o fim da 2ª Guerra Mundial e o dealbar da Guerra de África, sobre a guerra irregular ou subversiva. Esta leitura será feita, no essencial, com base no estudo de alguns textos que foram publicados em revistas militares da época em consideração e em algumas obras igualmente nesse período publicadas. Analogamente, se aproveitarão algumas sebentas existentes na Biblioteca da Academia Militar de Portugal. Uma parte do texto lidará com a guerra de guerrilha e outra com a guerra revolucionária, em ambos, falando-se dos autores que sobre estas formas de estratégia escreveram, salientando-se as temáticas mais relevantes e as problemáticas mais agudas.
