The central theme in both is literary practice and how it is affected by the transformations that this process entails in the cultural sphere, but especially in the ways critical practice can –or should– respond and reconfigure itself in the face of this new present. En Escenas de la vida posmoderna (1994) de Beatriz Sarlo y con el concepto de “literaturas postautónomas” de Josefina Ludmer, estas críticas literarias y culturales argentinas aportaron reflexiones al debate del fin de la autonomía del arte, en una época y una Argentina marcada por la consolidación de la globalización y el capitalismo neoliberal. El tema central en ambas es la práctica literaria y cómo se ve afectada por las transformaciones que dicho proceso supone en el ámbito cultural, pero sobre todo en los modos en que la práctica crítica puede –o debe– responder y reconfigurarse frente a este nuevo presente.
