Finally, we try to show in which way and for what reasons these spaces can overlap and which are the effects this overlapping entails. El propósito de este artículo es estudiar la construcción discursiva del espacio en la sátira 1.8 de Horacio. Se consideran los supuestos ideológicos y las prácticas sociales involucradas en el modo de concebir los espacios plasmados en el texto (jardín, cementerio) examinando al mismo tiempo las estrategias discursivas utilizadas en sus respectivas formulaciones. Finalmente, se intenta mostrar de qué manera y por qué razones estos espacios pueden superponerse y cuáles son los efectos de esa superposición.
