On the one hand, the analysis of the famous praise of the written law as guarantor of democratic equality in Euripides' Suppliant Women demonstrates that the expression [... contenido omitido caracteres en griego antiguo...] is not simply limited to the writing of the law (which in itself does not guarantee democracy), but indicates the law written and made public immediately, that is common property, and therefore able to ensure equal treatment of the people who appear before it. On the contrary, the [... contenido omitido caracteres en griego antiguo ...], far from expressing -as it will occur at a later time- the "custom", the "divine law" or the "law of nature", is principally the law that the [... contenido omitido caracteres en griego antiguo... ] pretend to be source of law and integral part of the civic order. The conflict, often without solution, between the two orders of [... contenido omitido caracteres en griego antiguo...] is illustrated very well in several works in the change of the last decades of the Vth and the beginning of the IVth centuries B.C.: for instance in Sophocles' Antigone, as well as Andocides' On the Mysteries and its probable reply, the pseudo-Lysian speech Against Andocides. |

Traducido al español del italiano por Cecilia J. Perczyk (Facultad de Filosofía y Letras, UBA) y Eduardo Esteban Magoja (Facultad de Derecho, UBA). -- Resumen: El presente artículo se propone analizar el significado de las primeras apariciones de las expresiones [... contenido omitido caracteres en griego antiguo...] , con el objetivo de demostrar que ambos, tal y como aparecen, tienen un valor técnico específico y un significado político. Por un lado, el análisis del famoso elogio de la ley escrita como garante de la igualdad democrática en Suplicantes de Eurípides demuestra que la expresión [...contenido omitido caracteres en griego antiguo...] no se limita simplemente a la escritura de la ley (que en sí mismo no garantiza la democracia), sino que indica la ley escrita y hecha pública de inmediato, de propiedad común, y por lo tanto capaz de garantizar un trato idéntico a las personas que se presentan ante ella. Por el contrario, el [... contenido omitido caracteres en griego antiguo ?], lejos de designar -como ocurrirá en un momento posterior- la "costumbre", la "ley divina" o la "ley de la naturaleza", es sobre todo la ley que los [... contenido omitido caracteres en griego antiguo ?] pretenden que sea fuente de derecho y parte integrante del ordenamiento ciudadano. El conflicto, a menudo sin solución, entre los dos órdenes de [ ... contenido omitido caracteres en griego antiguo ?] se ilustra muy bien en varias obras en el cambio de las últimas décadas del V y principios del siglo IV a.
