There is no doubt that one of the most obvious and a far-reaching consequences of the Internet and global interconnection through the network is the enormous volume of information to which we have access. In this context, the so-called "Big Data" emerges, exposing us to great changes in different areas of our lives, presenting us with scenarios that point towards open governments, transparency and greater closeness to citizens. This new reality, however, poses many challenges to the Public Administration and there still seem to be no unified strategies and models for its implementation. Es en este contexto en el que aparece el denominado big data, exponiéndonos a grandes cambios en los diferentes ámbitos de nuestras vidas, planteando escenarios que apuntan a gobiernos abiertos, transparencia y una mayor cercanía con los ciudadanos. Sin embargo, muchos son los retos que esta nueva realidad pone frente a la Administración Pública y aún no parece haber estrategias y modelos únicos para su implementación.
