El propósito de este artículo es estudiar la construcción discursiva del espacio en la sátira 1.8 de Horacio. Se consideran los supuestos ideológicos y las prácticas sociales involucradas en el modo de concebir los espacios plasmados en el texto (jardín, cementerio) examinando al mismo tiempo las estrategias discursivas utilizadas en sus respectivas formulaciones.
