From the results it was obtained that the use of DWT had a very good performance for signals generated with low laser energies ( < 100 uJ) corrupted with impulsive electromagnetic noise. En este trabajo se muestra que la utilización de filtros basados en la transformada wavelet discreta (DWT) mejora la sensibilidad de sistemas fotoacústicos para medición de gases traza bajo condiciones de relación señal a ruido (SNR) desfavorables. Para lograr este objetivo se diseñó un filtro basado en la DWT de Meyer y se lo probó con senales simuladas y medidas. Para las mediciones se implementó un sistema para la detección de trazas de hexafluoruro de azufre en nitrógeno usando un láser pulsado de CO2.
