Perhaps, the attraction that is still in force in his work resides in an interstitial character that makes it possible to deal with differences and contradictions as it is showed in “The Veil of Queen Mab”. The story depicts the problems of modern art and artist under the friendly appearance of mockery and sarcasm, literary resources he never abandons. The signifiers swans and people can capture some moments that summarize different politics of language. La práctica literaria, las masas y sus relaciones con el escritor, el prosaísmo de la vida cotidiana en oposición a las alturas del arte: en Rubén Darío, estos términos se tensionan y combinan en discursos poéticos, ensayísticos o ficcionales. Quizás la atracción que aún sigue ejerciendo su obra resida en un carácter intersticial que posibilita lidiar con las diferencias y las contradicciones que muestra, tempranamente, el cuento “El velo de la reina Mab” donde aprieta la problemática del arte y el artista modernos bajo el ropaje amable de la burla y la sorna, resortes que no abandona jamás. Los significantes cisnes y pueblo resultan aptos para atrapar algunos momentos que resumen distintas políticas de la palabra. Em Rubén Darío esses termos são estressados e combinados em sua poesía, ensaios ou discursos de ficção. Talvez a atração que ainda continua a exercer o seu trabalho resida em o caráter intersticial que torna possível lidar com as diferenças e contradições, por exemplo, na história “El velo de la reina Mab “, que apresenta os problemas da arte e o artista moderno sob a retorica amigável da zombaria e o escárnio.
