While referring particularly to what happened in Argentina in the last quarter century, they can be extended to the phenomena that is emerging in Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia and, partially, Brazil.The technological paradigm shift experienced by the agricultural and livestock production in recent decades led to a series of situations that promoted the desverticalization of production, the existence of new agents and the massive figure dissociation of the landowner form the producer. The new mode of production organization has as its epicenter the professional dynamic entrepreneur, as a manager / organizer of many farms throughout the territory, which usually hire in the market a high percentage of productive factors (land, agricultural services, focused knowledge). El objetivo de este estudio es analizar los impactos sobre la localización económica y la densidad del tramado productivo derivados de los cambios estructurales ocurridos en las actividades que tienen como epicentro el uso de la tierra (y sus posteriores encadenamientos industriales). Si bien refiere específicamente al caso argentino, éstas dinámicas pueden hacerse extensivas a las producciones de Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia y, parcialmente, Brasil.Las modificaciones en la estructura productiva son parte del cambio de paradigma tecnológico que experimentó la producción agrícola-ganadera las últimas décadas; sus manifestaciones son la desverticalización de la producción (y la masificación de la subcontratación de actividades), la existencia de nuevos agenteseconómicos (empresas agropecuarias, contratistas, proveedores de insumos, etc.) y la dominante disociación entre la figura de la empresa agropecuaria y la del dueño de la tierra.
