From there, he goes on to study the open period after the expropriation of 51% of the ypf share package, in May 2012, until the end of the presidency of Mauricio Macri, in December 2019. The article describes the complex combination of specific protection frameworks and high international reference prices that companies require to operate on unconventional hydrocarbons. Without excluding other experiences, the focus of the text is on ypf and the province of Neuquén. En este artículo se analizan las políticas públicas destinadas a la promoción de la producción de hidrocarburos y sus resultados sobre los hidrocarburos no convencionales en Argentina entre 2012 y 2019. En su primera parte realiza un recorrido por las principales características del sistema energético entre 2003 y 2011, año de confirmación de la magnitud de los depósitos de la formación geológica Vaca Muerta. A partir de allí, pasa al estudio del período abierto luego de la expropiación del 51% del paquete accionario de ypf, en mayo de 2012, hasta la finalización de la presidencia de Mauricio Macri, en diciembre de 2019. A lo largo del artículo se observa la compleja combinación de marcos de protección específicos y precios internacionales de referencia elevados que exigen las empresas para operar sobre hidrocarburos no convencionales.
