Through the model, international trade expectations can be formulated, foreseeing the need to evaluate changes due to tariff increases, such as the recent case applied to iron and steel by the United States. El objetivo es proponer el empleo de hipérbolas para representar el comercio internacional, ejemplificando con las exportaciones de México hacia Estados Unidos de América (EE.UU) a nivel de Capítulo Arancelario (Capítulo 72) y de Fracción Arancelaria (7326.90.99), correspondientes a fundición, hierro, acero y sus manufacturas, distinguiendo geométricamente las trayectorias de la exportación, evaluando la excentricidad en las hipérbolas como estadístico idóneo para medir el desempeño.
