Using the capabilities approach developed in Sen (1992) and Sen & Foster (2001), the main objective is to revise the dimensions and indicators in which the phenomenon manifests in the country. We use microdata corresponding to the fourth quarter of 2018 of the nationwide survey “Encuesta Permanente de Hogares (EPH)” and a set of indicators defined as deprivations extending the one proposed by Arevalo & Paz (2015). The results allow us to confirm the existence of three dimensions: dwelling, income and location of the house. Goodness of fit indices demonstrate converging and discriminating validity but the reliability tests of the scales indicate a mediocre internal consistency and the need of extending de set of indicators used in the study. En este trabajo se examina la pobreza multidimensional en Argentina utilizando métodos robustos de análisis factorial exploratorio (AFE) y confirmatorio (AFC). Haciendo uso del enfoque de las capacidades desarrollado en Sen (1992) y Sen & Foster (2001), el objetivo principal es revisar las dimensiones e indicadores en que el fenómeno se manifiesta en el país. Se utilizan microdatos de la Encuesta Permanente de Hogares (EPH) del cuarto trimestre de 2018 y un conjunto de indicadores definidos como privaciones, ampliando el propuesto por Arévalo & Paz (2015). Los resultados permiten confirmar la presencia de tres dimensiones: vivienda, ingresos y ubicación del hogar.
