It does so using a case study that was presented in a doctoral thesis that studied the social practices of these companies as a response to the financialization of the economy. The article analyzes the practices that were developed through the evolutionary stages of the recovery process and describes the characteristics of a community company and its labor organization, contrasting them with those of a classic company. With these objectives, the article proposes an ontological concept of the economy. El artículo se propone ilustrar el caso de una “empresa de comunidad” a partir de las experiencias de las empresas recuperadas (ER) argentinas. Lo hace a través un estudio de caso que fue presentado en la tesis de doctorado sobre las prácticas sociales de estas empresas como respuestas a la financiarización de la economía. Se analizan las prácticas que se desarrollaron a través de las etapas evolutivas del proceso de recuperación y se describen las características de una empresa de comunidad y su organización laboral en contraposición a las de una empresa clásica.
