This essay aims to bring this debate to its latest consequences: the need to think of a "post-history". This approach is justified by the fact that, within Modernity, history and Eurocentrism are inseparable. For the author of this text, the main characteristic of this post-history is to renounce the multi-secular pretension of a "global" history. From now on, it must be thought as a "foamy" knowledge, that is, complex, multicenter and indeterminate. Existe desde hace más de medio siglo un debate que ha resaltado el carácter eurocéntrico de la disciplina histórica. Este ensayo pretende llevar este debate a sus últimas consecuencias: la necesidad de pensar a una “posthistoria”. Este planteamiento se justifica sobre el hecho de que, dentro de la Modernidad, historia y eurocentrismo son indisociables. La principal característica de esta posthistoria consiste en renunciar a la pretensión plurisecular de una historia “global”.
