Sumario: | Economic democracy represents the desire to equate at the economicorganizational level the political conquests obtained by several modern societies since Enlightenment’s times. In relation to this idea, the article aims to three objectives. First, it proposes the demarcation and revaluation of an additional dimension for economic democracy: the management of organizations. This analysis is based on two types of reviews: on the one hand, those that deal with the question of the separation between ownership andmanagement; on the other hand, those that recount different real experiences of democratic control, both classical and with more recent impulse. Second, thearticle develops a classification that allows the schematic mapping of economic democracy’s main configurations. Finally, a characterization for horizontal organization is offered, an ideal type that maximizes the democratic and equal treatment for people who obtain their main source of material support, as well as an essential space for personal fulfillment, from it. |
