By assessing the archaeological knowledge and the physical and environmental characteristics of the area, we evaluate the use of this technique and give a preliminary approach to the settlement pattern and use of space during the Desarrollos Regionales (1.000 to 1.400 DC) and Inca (1.400 a 1.532 DC) Periods. En este trabajo se presentan los resultados obtenidos a partir de la aplicación de la técnica de teledetección arqueológica por medio del uso de fotografías aéreas verticales en un sector del Valle Calchaquí medio (Salta, Argentina).
