Regarding work, because of the affront against trades and their fragmentation; regarding health, due to the separation between health and work, as parallel dimensions of social life. The present article refers to health mainstreaming at the general level of work, materialized in work conditions and environment, with the aim of considering the secondary place that health occupies in trade unions. En los campos disciplinarios de la medicina y de la administración, así como en la vida cotidiana laboral, es dominante la separación entre trabajo y salud. En la escena doméstica de los espacios laborales se escinde la salud de los trabajadores de las condiciones y medio ambiente de trabajo. Sostenemos que esto se remonta a la ofensiva contra el saber empírico en todas sus formas. En lo respectivo al trabajo se aprecia en la afrenta contra el oficio y su fragmentación mientras que en lo concerniente a la salud por la separación salud y trabajo, como dimensiones paralelas de la vida social.
