| Sumario: | This paper is a reflection about the relationship between historic research and space -landscape or geograpghy- and the problems arising when confronting the sources, the carthography and different historical perceptions of a given place. The perception of space belongs to each society in a given period of time and becomes an essential reference to historic investigation. However, it is not always taken into account in the process of research generating, in some occasions, problems of non-critical correspondances between the toponyms appearing in historic documents and the ones shown in present day cartography, even if spatial conventions are "naturalized" or if categories of space and time are used anachronistically. |
