We stress the different types of readings around the same object of study, the Spanish conquistador, the colonial elite and the Jesuits. Specifically, we try to show, how our anthropological background guided us over archival documents, helping us select certain themes and variable of analysis instead of others. Also, microhistory methodology allowed us to recover aspects not seen by a lineal reading of the sources. En este trabajo describimos las perspectivas utilizadas para abordar el proceso de conquista y colonización militar y espiritual del mundo colonial, en general, y de Tucumán colonial, en particular, durante el siglo XX para resaltar las diferentes lecturas realizadas sobre un mismo objeto de estudio, los conquistadores españoles, la elite colonial y los jesuitas. De manera particular, buscamos mostrar cómo nuestra formación en antropología guió la mirada sobre la documentación de archivo, privilegiando ciertos temas, ejes y variables en menoscabo de otros. También cómo la utilización de metodología de la micro-historia permitió recuperar sentidos no contemplados en una lectura lineal de la documentación histórica. Este artigo destaca as diferentes interpretações de um mesmo objeto de estudo: os conquistadores espanhóis, a elite colonial e os jesuítas. Especificamente, buscamos mostrar como nossa formação em antropologia orientou nossa abordagem da documentação arquivística, privilegiando determinados temas, eixos e variáveis em detrimento de outros.
