We tried to show sequences of the principal trends, as well as lines of debates or the congruencies prevailing in different social disciplines of each period and academic group. Having this in mind, we tried to make a critical balance of the main streams of thought around methodology, probation conditions and truth criteria, the author's role, and above all the false opposition between objectivity and subjectivity.   El trabajo presenta un recorrido histórico sobre los debates metodológicos en Antropología, en Historia y en las Ciencias Sociales en general, y su vinculación con el desarrolllo de la Antropolohía Histórica o Etnohistoria como disciplina específica y en relación con las investigaciones realizadas en nuestro propio grupo. Con esto se ha intentado secuenciar las principales tendencias, así como las líneas de disputa o las confluencias que prevalecieron en las distintas disciplinas sociales en cada época y grupo académico.
