From this general perspective, our specific objective is to analyze the period immediately prior to the military government of 1976. More specifically, we will focus on the impact of the policies implemented since the military government of Juan Carlos Onganía. We will particularly observe their impact on two main aspects: the exercise of territorial property and the place assigned to YPF and; the integration between the extraction and refining sector. Overall, we will show that, given the Argentine oil structure, these reforms implied, towards the end of the time frame of our study, a definitive setback in the sustainability of the state-owned company. El presente trabajo se propone brindar un aporte al debate sobre antecedentes del proceso de desregulación y privatización de la industria petrolera argentina. Desde esta perspectiva general, tomamos como objetivo específi-co analizar el período inmediatamente anterior al gobierno militar de 1976. Más concretamente, nos centraremos en el impacto de las políticas implementadas desde el gobierno militar de Juan Carlos Onganía. Observaremos particularmente su impacto en dos aspectos principales: el ejercicio de la propiedad territorial y el lugar que se le asignara a YPF y; la integración entre el sector de extracción y refinación.
