This paper presents the results of an archaeological survey processed by Geographical Information Systems and evaluates the impact caused by the advance of the productive and touristic neo[1]extractivism in the basin of Cachi river (province of Salta, Argentina) on the occupation and distribution of lands. The survey records show the modification of the productive and housing spaces, verified by the emergence of new hotels and the vine monoculture development, factors that impacted directly on the conservation of archaeological sites in the area. This socio-economic process implies transformations that pose the landscape as a disputed space that involves and questions the archaeological sites known as antigales in the local knowledge. These research tasks were marked by the dialogue with the indigenous communities that claim their territory and are part of an archaeological heritage joint management. This led to the construction of challenging collective practices that question the archaeological discipline and allow us to understand the current patrimonial situation framed in the conflict over the access to resources. Las experiencias colectivas proponen un camino para la investigación en la que se pueden conjugar el quehacer científico con el saber local construyendo nuevos canales para el diálogo. En este trabajo se presentan los resultados de un relevamiento arqueológico procesado en un Sistema de Información Geográfica, en el que se evalúa el impacto provocado por el avance del neo-extractivismo productivo y turístico en la cuenca del río Cachi (Provincia de Salta, Argentina). A partir del registro se observa la modificación de los espacios productivos y habitacionales, constatado en el surgimiento de nuevos hoteles y el desarrollo del monocultivo de la vid; factores que impactaron de manera directa sobre la conservación de los sitios arqueológicos del área. Este proceso socio-económico implica la construcción del paisaje como un espacio en disputa, que involucra a los sitios arqueológicos reconocidos desde la mirada local como antigales. Las tareas de investigación aquí presentadas estuvieron signadas por el diálogo con las comunidades de pueblos originarios que reclaman sus territorios y forman parte de una gestión conjunta del patrimonio arqueológico.
