Concepts and theories from the field of Social Studies of Technology are recovered for the construction of an analytical-reflexive framework that allows carrying out such inquiries. The study, in the scientific-academic sector, is limited to the presented papers in the fields of discussion of the Argentine Association of Renewable Energies and Environment (ASADES) while, in extra-academic experiences, the analysis is cut to five cases that promote the principles of Permaculture located in San Marcos Sierras (Córdoba, Argentina). The article manages to highlight different meanings under which the environmental problem is currently addressed, evidencing different possible paths. En este artículo se examinan los presupuestos e intenciones que movilizan las discusiones y abordajes al Diseño Ambientalmente Consciente del Hábitat tanto desde el sector científico-académico como de experiencias periféricas no institucionalizadas. Se recuperan conceptos y teorías del campo de los Estudios Sociales de la Tecnología para la construcción de un marco analítico-reflexivo que permita llevar adelante tales indagaciones. El estudio, en el sector científico-académico, se delimita a las ponencias presentadas en los ámbitos de discusión de la Asociación Argentina de Energías Renovables y Ambiente (ASADES) mientras que, en las experiencias extra-académicas, el análisis se recorta a cinco casos que promueven los principios de la Permacultura situados en San Marcos Sierras (Córdoba, Argentina). El artículo logra poner en relieve diferentes matrices de sentidos bajo las cuales se aborda actualmente la problemática ambiental del hábitat, evidenciando diferentes caminos posibles.
