The paper tries out a series of principles that can be elaborated as specific and proper to “good administration in public procurement”, which complement those formulated as inherent to "good administration" in general, as well as those identified as typical of global public procurement. These principles, which are both challenges for the administrative contract in the future, come from focusing on various topics or issues that may arise in the selection stage as well as in the contractual execution, which must be rethought in context, design and modalities of occurrence, so that active consensus prevails, as well as greater predictability for both parties, and objective criteria of interpretation; and all this tending to preserve the life of the contract, to avoid future conflicts that can be eluded, and to satisfy the public interests and the necessities involved in the object of the contracting. El trabajo ensaya una serie de principios que pueden ser elaborados como propios y específicos de la buena administración en la contratación pública, que complementan los formulados como inherentes a la “buena administración” en general así como los señalados como propios de la contratación pública global. Estos principios, que constituyen a la vez desafíos para el contrato administrativo en el futuro, provienen de focalizar diversos tópicos o cuestiones que pueden darse en la etapa de selección así como en la de ejecución contractual, los cuales deben ser repensados en su contexto, diseño y modalidades de ocurrencia, a fin de que prevalezca el consenso activo, una mayor previsibilidad y predictibilidad para ambas partes, y criterios objetivos de interpretación; y todo ello tendiente a preservar la vida del contrato, evitar futuros conflictos que pueden eludirse, y satisfacer los intereses públicos y las necesidades involucradas en el objeto de la contratación.
