Based on the poem Chamamecero by Julián Zini, the first season of the series organizes its episodes around key themes, combining testimonies from leading figures of the genre -musicians, researchers, psychologists, historians, anthropologists, poets and dancers- focusing mainly on the province of Corrientes, Argentina. The second season expands the focus to different regions, inviting to think about culture from a regional perspective beyond political divisions. From an ethnomusicological approach, the documentary provides tools to understand how this music is transmitted and what meanings it holds in the communities that practice it. The technical quality, the plurality of voices, the commitment to research and the inclusion of a gender perspective make the series a valuable contribution both for academia and for the general public. Chamamecero does not seek to be a definitive look, but an open invitation to know and value those who live and sustain this musical tradition. Chamamecero, nuestra manera de ser propone un enfoque integral sobre el chamamé, entendiendo esta música como una práctica social ligada a la identidad, la historia y el territorio. Dividida en dos temporadas, la serie recorre sus orígenes, sus expresiones culturales y su expansión a través de los movimientos migratorios, mostrando cómo el chamamé se mantiene vivo y en transformación. Basada en el poema «Chamamecero» de Julián Zini, la primera temporada de la serie organiza sus episodios en torno a temas clave, combinando testimonios de destacados referentes del género —músicos, investigadores, psicólogas, historiadores, antropólogos, poetas y bailarines— centrándose en la provincia de Corrientes, Argentina. La segunda temporada amplía el foco a distintas regiones, invitando a pensar la cultura desde una perspectiva regional más allá de las divisiones políticas. Desde un enfoque etnomusicológico, el documental aporta herramientas para comprender cómo se transmite esta música y qué significados sostiene en las comunidades que la practican. Destacan la calidad técnica, la pluralidad de voces, el compromiso en la investigación y la inclusión de la perspectiva de género, lo que convierte a la serie en un aporte valioso tanto para la academia como para la divulgación al público general.
